So my understanding of this is:

You need a current WOF and Rego to drive/ ride on New Zealand Roads.I think it has something to do with keeping dangerous vehicles off the road. If the Police catch you they fine you and/or you get demerit points.

But if you haven't and your in an accident and its not your fault and you don't have insurance and the lack of WOF did not contribute your sweet...

So what is the point of a WOF then?
