    Tarawera 100

The last time I did this event was in 08. That was the then dubbed T75 when the race was shortened as it was deemed "too hard".
Well as the memory fades I have sort of forgotten why I didn't like this event. Maybe it was because it was like a giant MX race and not really like the T100 from yesteryear when it was a real test of endurance and fortitude.

Anyway Junior says "Hey Dad, if you do it I'll do it and will kick your butt".
Whats a vet to do. After all I only have to do 3 x laps and he has to do 4 x laps

Anyway who is doing the legendary T100?
We are leaving Friday arvo and coming back on the Saturday after the race and have room for one or two.
Accomodation on the Friday night is paid for as is a full verbal comentary all the way there and back.

There are some advantages to advanced maturity, being a mega vet I would only have to do 2 laps..... next year then, too late for me to get organised now.

The only reason the 2008 was a T 75 was that riders who couldn't get up the 1 trouble hill were heading off in different directions looking for another track. The marshalls were finding riders going different directions on the same tracks which was eventually going to end messy.
Tomorrows track won't have anything too hard in it from what I'm told. Just a longer laptime
