    Radar over concrete barrier?

A couple of questions for anyone in the know:

Are radar readings of speed from a moving patrol car on the opposite side of the motorway over a concrete barrier considered accurate enough to prove a speeding infringement?

Also, if one was issued a ticket for say 21kph over the limit at a time where one's speedometer was inoperable due to a broken speedo cable would it be advisable to mention this when raising a matter for consideration of the circumstances or contesting the ticket?

    Cheers

Yes it is 'good enough' sorry and re speedo cable being broken...I'd keep that to yourself as it means your bike wasn't in 'roadworthy condition'.
    Pay the ticket...

You have me intrigued, how did they give you the infringement? It just came in the mail? Or did they exit the motorway and reenter it?

Pay the ticket. It's the easiest option. You wont "win", or get any consideration trying to take the matter further.

so you have no idea what speed you were doing, and still wanna contest the ticket?
pay the fine. arguing this one will probably end up hurting a whole lot more than a speeding ticket when/if the truth comes out, as it almost invariably tends to do.

    Ignore that dumb cunt,

Tell them you were operating your vehicle with an inoperatable speedo, its not like you need one for a WOF to prove your vehicle is safe and road worthy etc.

Ignore all the weak 'bend over and take it up the rudder' fucktards.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

Hmmmm just a thought, you were out of sight? and they didnt have your registration number/?? So you were pulled by another car?
Question is..... how far down the road was the other patrol car????? I it was some distance? Then maybe a little chat with your local community lawyer may give you advice? I seem to recall that there are condition that are regarded as unfavourable to an evidential speed reading...... possibly the wall is one?
