the electrical system on this bike is only 1 part, the whole thing is 1 piece

i have emailed another husky & ktm dealer early on friday about it... no response.

im really glad i dont own a husky. dealer / parts support is a joke.
phone calls get more results than emails......

Not sure how to find the year on them. With the ktm's they have a stator on the left side, which goes into the coil. Stator is behind the water pump. If you test the stator it should read about 500ohms and the coil should be 2000ohms. Check out this PDF doc, chapt 5 tells you how to test everything. http://www.deklanbrown.com/the-ktm-guide.pdf

looks like we're talking about a different bike.

here's a picture of the flywheel & entire electrical system on the bike.

and yes i know the bike is in a shocking state, but thats how he's kept it since it stopped working. getting it running comes first, followed by getting it in shape

Try this website http://www.husqvarnaoutlet.com/parts_fiche. Specifically try this manual http://docs.husqvarnaoutlet.com/part...50cc%20Boy.pdf item 13 is the coil which attaches on the side and runs direct off a flywheel magnet.
