Kiwibike are a broker, not an insurance company. They deal with a few different companies to try and find the best insurance deal for you. I am with Protecta, through Kiwibike and pay $329 per year with an excess of $500, for a bike valued at $3000. This was, and still is, the best around for my circumstances.
Insurance for protecta for a Yamaha XV250 cost $443 a year.

Hey mate I was in the same situation as you a month ago and my insurance was 30$ a month with a Honda Spada VT250. I'd imagine it'd be the same price for any other 250.
BY THE WAY DO NOT RIDE YOUR BIKE WITHOUT REG OR WOF OR IF YOU FUCK YOUR BIKE YOU WILL NOT GET A PAY OUT

I have third party insurance with AMI for my $4000 150cc scooter, which I arranged when I was on my restricted license. It was approx $60 for the first year, and the second year was approx $35 thanks to the no claims bonus. 20 y.o female![]()
