It is a scam, don't send them anything! I've had a few of these texts and got one today as well. You will definitely lose your money and your bike if you go along with it.

best way to flush them out is to start talking really technical to them about the bike,99% of Malaysians have never seen a bike over 200cc let alone ridden one.

Tell them you have a friend in Singapore who will pop over to visit them before the bike is shipped,just to be sure everything is OK.

I am actually the second owner of this bike, I inherited it from my uncle 5 years ago when he tragically came down with hypergonadism. The reason for me selling the bike is that I am also beginning to suffer the symptoms of my uncles affliction and believe that it may be attributed to riding a bike that is too dense for me, as well as the fact that it is lightly haunted.

I don't think there is anything mechanically wrong with the bike but it may need its power-bands replaced to get a WOF here in New Zealand (I am not sure if you need this in Malaysia?). I had it running fine yesterday though there was a faint buzzing each time I turned it off which concerned me but upon closer inspection I found it was just the wasps is the exhaust. You can keep them if you would like, I think they increase the bike's overall horsepower as long as you make sure to use non-synthetic engine oil.

Sorry, I can't send you photos at the moment because I am in Australia and my older brother who is looking after my bike doesn't handle anything that may contain lithium due his religious beliefs. I can assure you that cosmetic damage is minimal though aside from the crack in the front fender and a problem with the left mirror whereby it only reflects in black and white.

I have a bit of a dilemma. I have a bike on trademe for sale. just today i received a text from somebody in Malaysia wanting it and giving us a contact email address which i duly emailed. They have come back saying yes they want the bike, at the price i am asking. They will pay for it, before it is shipped, and how do I want to be paid. Now this is the problem. I am a tad uneasy about this as it could be a scam and they are just phishing for bank details. So my question is, if I do decide to go ahead, how safe is a bank draft? I am loathe to give a bank account number, so thought a bank draft that is cleared before I let the bike out of my hands, would be the safest option. Any suggestions or constructive comments duly welcome.

As others have already said, this is definately a scam, if they send an e amil address you can try and google it and you will more than likely get a hit back. Do not give any bank details out. A friend of mine had a similar situation via TM over a golf cart and the proepsctive buyer was based in Nigeria. There is a web site which lists various scams sorry I cannit remember the name of the page but I will have a look for it.
