1st lap dropped it up the first hill and it didn't get much better from there.
2nd lap dropped it down a bank and had to spend 10 mins getting it out.
3rd was my best untill i started cramping.
4th What the fuck was i thinking? took nearly an hour due to massive cramp in all muscles. Ran out of drink about 10mins into last lap.

To all I held up sorry, I did try and get out of you way.
Thanks to all for a fantasic day.

    Bring on the next one
Thats a bloody good effort for a first race. I'd be well proud of that!

Most good riders understand that some times its hard to get out of the way and I can understand from a novices point that to continually be asked to move also interupts your race as well.
I wouldn't be appologising too much.

I only did 3 laps and had a rest in between each and was shattered. Mind you it was a big session the night before and had to stop mid race to empty the remains.

Thanks all for entering. The lap scorer (Silver bullet) travels all over NZ doing and this is the first event in the last 18 months that has shown an increase in numbers. Thats pleasing both for us and the industry as a whole.
We were in there again today bright and early with the machinery and in a few weeks time you won't know that 300 bikes have been over the track 3-4 times on average.

Round Two on Sunday 28th August, same location but a new track. We head north.

I was both pleased and disappointed in my race.
Disappointed for so many dumb errors and slow lap times (55 avg) and pleased that i wasn't last as i didn't think i overtook anyone.

But 110 overall and 29 solo I'm happy with that, bring on the next one.
(If i recover and repair the bike in time)

That was a bloody awesome event Tony, took a while (and a 10km walk) to sober up after a ride in the "booze bus" though

The morning race images have been loaded, with the afternoon ones being added tomorrow... No idea if I got any kiwi bikers, but "all look same" with helmets on

That's the hill you took me to (in the booze bus) that we reinstated, got some good'uns there.
I'd like to think it's my wildly impressive skills with light and dark, but yeah.. neat camera..
