    It's a good idea to take the bike for a decent ride every week or two, get everything up to temperature, this will help evaporate the condensation off the oil and let the oil do it's job properly.
    Dark oil means the oil is doing it's job. It's collecting carbon etc, when it smells burned or looks milky, you should change it and cross your fingers.

    Service it anyway, if you don't know how, send me a PM and I can show you how to do all the usual checks etc.

    Cool thanks heaps people . i try to take it out of town if im not working in the weekends . little scoots has 3700 kms on her and had it a year , Just taking the bike to work as my gear changes are still not to my liking a bit harsh .
