Yeah, we need trolls though, they keep things lively

I went out today. My lovely man runs a learner/newbie ride at the moment. I usually ride TEC. I love being at the back of the ride. I wear a very loud Fluro/reflective vest, and I am not intimidated by wanking cagers.

We dont as a rule hold up too many people, and mostly the ones we do hold up respect what we are doing. The ones that dont respect what we are doing usually are on 2 wheels

Being respectful when you are travelling less than the open road speed limit is a far cry from the ones that think they are going too fast at 80 kph and piss other road users off.

Slow bastards piss me off especially those drivers that like to dawdle along at 70km/h in a 100km zone and then manage to find their accelerators at overtaking lanes, speed up to 100km/h and then slow down as soon as the overtaking lanes merge! The neenar should smash over those slow coaches more often and people should learn to drive at or near the speed limit, look in their mirrors and move out the frick'in way

I had a cop chase me for 7km after dark a few weeks back, it would have been 1km, but he didnt put his lights on "in case I did a runner" He then proceded to accuse me of doing a runner & riding dangerously, after chasing me at what can only have been well more than 160k, passing into oncoming traffic with his flashing lights off in the dark.

So, should we do it or not?

    Harumph.
Given the job and the uniform you are always subject to observation and inevitable criticism mate. Just let it wash off you. The losers just aren't worth another thought.

Good on you for doing the job right and dealing with an annoyance I am sure ALL of us also hate.

Keep up the good work. It is appreciated by us frustrated motorists stuck all too often behind selfish drivers who are often too lazy or too self-interested and arrogant to pull over for others.

Remember you still win.... not matter what he said to you, he still got a ticket.

    Nice work.

Now please come up to D'Auckland and fill your boots with retarded ingrates that bimble along in the centre and right-hand lanes.

Surely it is for 'obstructing traffic'?

    ...just saying...
Totally correct. The offence is "Slow vehicle or inconsiderate driving impeded traffic"

I called it a ticket for going too slow coz that's what it was.

    My bad.

Poor widdle Fokky, upset by the big bad Popo wuz we?

No your taxes pay me to enforce the law, not to put up with trash talk like we do. We put up with the trash for free. I'd come in on my days off if I was allowed to dish some back, but apparently we have to take it, and not give some back.

One of my troops just processed a drink driver in North Canterbury, the tosser spent the whole time banging on about how much of an injustice it was, how he's a better driver after a few drinks, the usual bollocks. My soldier just sat there, did what was necessary, handed him his court documents and saw him off the premises. One day we'll be allowed to dish some back, just not now.

I actually don't expect my troops to be automatons. If they dish some back now and again I can understand why. I can't (officially) agree to it, but I can sure understand it.

Please email the hugs via Heidi Klum, I'll accept hugs from her anytime.

Car or bike, the speed limit is the MAXIMUM speed allowed - if I don't want to travel at the MAXIMUM speed, I move over as far as I can (without going on to the shoulder) so that those who DO want to travel faster, can. In my experience, it's the second or third car in the line that is the problem, in this case, a 30km speed difference should be more than sufficient for a competent driver to make a safe overtake UNLESS the road/traffic conditions prevent.
