    eek First Bike?

    When you get your bike license do you have to start on a 250.Can you get a cbr600 or something like that?

    A beginner rider doesn't need anything bigger than 250cc to start off on (not until you've got a year or so worth of experience under your belt). I've found generally with bigger bikes that they're more sensitive, harder to handle, aren't as forgiving as the smaller bikes and are generally more expensive to maintain. If you already have experience with motorcycles (off road etc.) but you're wanting to get your license and start riding on the road, then a bigger bike is fine, but if you're completely new to riding I wouldn't recommend it.

    If you want a CBR, start off with any one of these models: CBR 125R, CBR 150R, CBR250.
    All three of them have top speeds over 100km, which makes them ideal commuter bikes. The bigger models of the CBR are not LAMS approved, that means you can't ride them on either your learners or restricted license (and for good reason too).
