The only negative I can see is if you have lame brakes, which you don't
Yeah I have STd length Titax on the ape but after riding a mates RSV with shorties I made the wrong decision.

Indeed...took the first ride for me to get used to the shorty clutch but now I prefer it over the full length ones on our R1.

When I ride I only seem to use 2 fingers on brake and same on clutch. My only concern for the shorties is that usually when I stop at the lights and if in gear I tend to use 4 fingers on clutch as otherwise my hand gets tired. So that would be the only concern I have really. Still using 2 fingers on shorties is no different to giving a 2 finger salut.
Maybe I should try practising with one finger then?

Speaking of clutch, I been told that clutchless gear changes are ok providing that:
    A) you build up suitable revs.
    B) you are using someone elses bike

On a contrary (sp?) I have also heard that not using clutch drastically reduces gearbox life. so which is it then?

Have you tried the website. Order direct. Pick and choose all sorts of colour options, and quick delivery. I struck the couriers just right. Ordered Friday Morning, and got them Monday Afternoon. From Canada. Great service.

Fan of shorties my self...fitted Syntos to all my recent bikes.

I like to keep my last 2 fingers wrapped around the grips and and use index and middle fingers on the levers....then, when squeezing a lever I don't jam my last 2 fingers, neither do the last 2 fingers get in the way of full lever travel.

I had the occasional bad habit of rolling on the throttle while squeezing the brake. Keeping two fingers wrapped around the throttle has minimized this.

Also with four fingers on the brembos (with out ABS) I had been known to do an occasional stoppie, and would regularly over brake...with only 2 fingers on the brake I am less likely to do a stoppie, can pull up in a quick more controlled fashion and have developed a smoother riding style.

    Thats my 2 cents worth

I went to Pazzo site but they don't have Green as a colour option for the short lever, only for standard length

Mind you Gold ones might look ok on the Green Monster

I was just about to order from Pazzo website, then I thought I might as well check out Ebay, and I fould a set of Titax GP Shorties for $125US with free shipping. Aparently they were last of stock hence down from the usual $220US price. Only thing is that they are Black, but I can live with that. (for now)

I was gonna say if you wanted to know what the Pazzo gold will look like on your bike you can have a look at my levers. They're an interesting gold. Much more yellow than the Titax ones. And of course, since Triumph changed the colour of the forks for the 09 + Daytona's they don't match Inconsiderate bastards! Since you're going with black, doesn't matter.

I was contemplated getting black with maybe gold adjusters but then they won't stand out haha.

The other good thing about shorties is it takes a lot to get them in the way when your bike is tumbling in the air

For what it's worth, I use 3 fingers on the clutch (shortie) and sometimes 4 when I stop. I would never go full length again and would always change my levers. They feel heaps nicer in the hand and when you're on a track, that helps. I should really ask my wife what she thinks of them now since she hated them to start with.

I don't think anyone answered this...yeah they do. In saying that, some levers can go on other bikes. To be honest, I don't know if any of the "sports levers" are made for tractors (). Black ones would look bloody cool though and you'll love the feel.

You should fire out some emails to the companies and see what they say.
