Just to answer your question after all this time, bling factor. Although they're apparently VERY comfy. I've never heard complaints from anyone about slipping as I've often thought about that. The rubber on the outsides on most of them is meant to take care of that.

Kinda. The metal is in a high wear place on the grips so they don't wear so fast, the rest of the grip is a gel so its awesomely comfy and stops a lot of vibes. Plus they look horny.

How do you find the mirrors? I was thinking of maybe getting the exact ones for the Daytona after my significant other had a boo-boo.

They're fine. For a start I'm using cheapie mirrors from these guys

good to deal with and not a bad product. They'd work better with shorty levers as full length levers tend to touch depending on the mirrors position.

Agreed. I got a Fender "extenda" [sic] from them a couple of weeks ago: excellent to deal with.

Oh, I'm a convert to short levers too. it helps to have a bike with decent brakes though.

Cool, thanks guys. BTW I've got Titax shorties on the Trumpy, love them. As stated, they're fine as long as you have a light clutch (check) and awesome front brake (check). I only ever used two on the front anyway. Three on the SV though.

    Cheers.

hey, looking at geting some for my GSF 250 Bandit and since all the versions never mention if they will fit my bike, will the GSF 600/1200 fit ?
really want some black and red shorties, was considering doing the whole China ebay thing, $70- NZ plus the wait...
then again found the same ones from China on Trademe for $100- bucks

on a side note, bar end mirrors on clip on type handle bars, how hard would it be to see behind? i was pretending i had some and have to look quite far down taking more time hence more dangerous. ill do some searchin now though for opinions.

Hmmm, same experience with my 650 on one of our sojourns down south. Went over both sides and ended up with ugly shortened clutch and brake levers. Rode all the way home to Aucks from Wgtn with them like that. Wasn't half bad though, except that I kinda missed the little knobby bits on the ends.

I love my shorty levers, makes the bike feel a bit sportier, except I need a can of spinach to pull the clutch in due to barnet springs.
But I haven't seen mention of FPRacing foldable levers in here yet.
Although they are not cheap, they are very high quality and have a cool name, unlike Pazzo......

Here are mine, they came with free engraving

Have had my shorty levers for a wee while now. I love them, they make such a difference. Don't think I'll ever want to go back to regular length.

Just one quesation guys. What happens to the "loose" fingers in a crash? No I DON'T know I'm just asking and wondering if actually they might get crushed between lever ball end and whatever you crash into.
