    Need some new boots!

So that time of year... need some new tyres for the Falco. Pretty standard sizes (120/70 and 180/55) and I'm either looking at getting the same tyres (BT023's) or trying out the Michelin Pilot Road 3's.

One thing that I'm suprised at is the prices of tyres here... I picked up my BT023's from the UK last June for $400 fully fitted... I'm looking at $480 (on offer apparently!) that doesn't include fitting. The Michelins are even scarier... $450 in the UK (not fitted) or nearer $680! Fuck that!

Anyone got any good recommendations for quality tyres such as these (sport-touring tyres) for something other than silly money?

    Cheers.

I've just chucked a Shinko on the back of the gixxer and so far I have to report I'm fairly impressed. $320 fitted and IMO far better than the BT021 that it replaced.

Have you tried cycletreads apparently $499 for a set of PR3's jaffaonajappa said in another thread...I have a set on the Daytona and will be putting a set on the Trophy soon and see how they go on that,it depends on what type of mileage you expect or want,I got 9000k out of my first rear and still proberly another 2-3000k left in it and are at 14000k out of my first front which is still on the bike, before PR3's I was getting 8000k from a set of mich's PR2 rear and power 2 front

But will go back to a power 2 on the front of the daytona as I perfer to change both tires at the same time, just my choice
