    Bikes above 250cc?

Just got my full licence today (woo!). I'm still happy on my CBR 250, but have been eyeing up bikes I might move up to.
I'm about 5'6", so the CBR has been an awesome height for me. I've sat on a friend's VFR 400 and was flat footed. Tempted to just move up to a CBR 400, but does anyone have suggestions for other bikes I could drool over while I think about what I want?

    Thanks

At 5'6 virtually anything in the 600 including the Daytona 675 should be fine unless you have ducks disease

I agree, 600's are a good move after 250. 400 wont be that big of an improvement, however you may not be looking at going all that fast and then a 400 would be all good.

400's are great bikes but its all about what your into. I couldnt care less about top speed, i just wanted something nimble, cheap to run and torque'y' so i went for a VFR after my VT250. Test drive as many as you can

Amazingly most largish New Zealand towns have things called motorcycle shops. They sell new and used bikes that come in many different styles and sizes. Bikes also come in different price ranges, sometimes based on their age and how much distance they've travelled. Amazing really. Who'd have thought?

They'll also let you sit on them to try them for size. If you ask nicely, they'll also let you take them on what's known as a test ride. No obligation to buy either. No, it's true.

Go shopping, find something you like. Buy it. Ride it home. Write a post about it.

No, I'm just kidding. It's actually illegal for anybody less than 1.68m to ride a bike bigger than 250cc.

I went to the bros 650 after a vtr250, best bike choice I ever made

I had to put extra foam in it, so no worries for shorter people.
