Tyler Lincoln's VMCC Round 4 race report

NOTE Tyler accidentally posted his report as his dad then reposted as himself. But because the original was from RDjase it ends up being the first post in the merged thread
    Victoria Winter Series Round 4

    Track Day

The track day was good, mucked around with the forks on the KR. Rode the bucket until the fairing came loose. Steve let Simon and I have a go on his RS 125 wich was awesome fun.
Afer the track day had finished Robert Taylor from CKT gave a talk about suspension setup for race bikes, very good and helped me understand bike handiling more !

    Race Day

    Arrived at the track 8:00

Practice was dry with cold track conditions.

I followed behind Neil ( Niel Chappel RG 150 #176) for the first 2 laps then I past him down the back straight then I started to push a bit harder. I cauhgt up to Sam ( Sam Croft Ninja 250 #24) I stayed behind him so I could slipstream him down the straights to get faster times. I qulifyed 1st for Streetstock and forth on the grid with a time of 1:30.804.

Race 1 was dry with cool track conditions.

I got a good start past Dale (Dale Albrecht CBR250RR #79) into turn 1 he got back past coming out of the corner, entering turn five Neil and Sam passed me I past neil into dunlop next lap I past Sam into Dunlop then he passed me in to turn 1 then I got back past into turn 3, coming into turn 5 my bike had a big wobble and Sam passed me again then I past him into Dunlop then he passed me into turn 1. I backed off a bit because it was still cold.

    I came 1st with a best lap of 1:29.081.

Race 2 was dry with warm track conditions.

I got a good start all most got past Dale had a good battle with Sam until he fell off , I found some places on the track the I could go faster through. I came 1st with a best lap time of 1:28.520.

Race 3 was dry with warm track conditions.

I got an awesome start Neil past me around the outside coming out of turn 5 I past him on the brakes into Higgens but he tried to pass me around the outside and he lent on top of me trying to make me back off but I stayed where I was so I could break away and catch up to Dale on the 250. I caught up to Dale, I could catch up to him through the infield but he would pull away down the straights. I came 1st with a best lap tim of 1:28.044.

Blimmin' heck Tyler. What a fantastic day, 3 firsts. Looking at the lap times, you were going around half a second a lap faster each race.

That is impressive and shows how much you're taking onboard during the day. Well done. Very cool Going to have to get your autograph next time I see you

No wonder I hated riding in C grade with you blitzing past lol (funnily enough, I did trust you weren't going to do something stoopid, it just felt dumb being passed by this little kid lol)

You should be Jase, you're doing a great job with him (and therefore proud of yourself as well).
