my next dooor neighbour has a XJR1300, rides it daily and loves it. Ohlins shocks etc. talk from nowhere

option B for $12995 is as hitcher mentioned is a ZXR1220. there are two on bikepoint that are brand new 2002 models. one in NP with fairing and the eddie Lawson replica in wellybob i think.

they were $21k new I think. mate in Np has one in his stable of eight bikes and says it has varoooooooooooom from nowhere

another chepaie is a FJR1300. let someone buy a new one for $29K and buy it a few months later for around $19K with 5 k on clock

i have a mate with one of these and loves it. He also has a R1200GS and a R100GS PD. I thik he like motorbikes

Buy an FJR. Slaughterer of XR6 turbos. Almost too easy. And a high beam that wouldn't be out of place at Jade Stadium. Whoar.

I looked at the Yam, Kawa and Suzuki nakeds and really think they are all pretty similar in the real world of commuting/touring etc. Decided on the GSX1200Y purely on price and its excellent condition and its turned out to be a really nice ride. But still would have been quite happy if I had brought either of the others.

this is a '96 model, with fully adjustable front shocks, brembo brakes, and ohlins rear shocks, just modified the mufflers, and put a new chain and sprockets on it, have had it about three weeks, and love it....

What did you do to the mufflers?

Had a bit of a disagreement with certain folks, and decided this wasnt a place he cared to be anymore.

Did you make them up or get them off Ebay?
I've just got a set of 36Y inlet rubbers, so they'll go on next with the airbox mod.

have modified the air box already, cut the intake pipe down to about ten mm, the 36y's would be good but i cant afford a dynojet kit atm, and the simple fact that the bike has shite fuel economy around town... 150-170 km for 21L!!! and thas not even given it some...

i got the plates off ebay, was cheaper to do that, than to pay someone to make them up here....
