Just getting people to view his auctions, there's half a dozen for sale for considerably less than that.

It's working then. Not a bad idea really, advertise a nice bike for over it's value to get people to look. Then hopefully 1% of those look around his other auctions and see something reasonably priced and buy that.

All the while, the immaculate condition bike gains in value as it gets older.
