For every rider out there - sponsorship?

Okay. I'm looking at doing a trip with my partner from Portugal to Durban in South Africa via the Top West Coast of Africa before changing over to the East part. Now, i'm no Ewan McGregor and i'm not loaded and thus i wanna create a website on our travels from beginning to the end along with using it to get some Sponsorship. Now, what would you as a reader like to see Sponsoring us????? Can you recommend anyone? I was thinking of Repco, Kathmandu and so forth though i'm not sure who else to approach. Hopefully they'll throw some cash our way along with some free stuff We'll also sell part of our route, so you'll be the first to hear about Mali if that's what you've bought.

    Any and all idea's welcomed.

Certainly a bit of an adventure! Good on ya.

What bikes will you be useing?
Are you buying something over there? or shiping them from NZ?

    I'm just thinking tyres.
If your talking backroad Adventure riding, I may be interested in doing a deal involving the Heidenau K60 Scouts.

    More info would be good.
How many kms would be covered?

    Good luck.

    Racey.

Get the Massey University English Department to sponsor you. That way I won't go loudly insane reading your trip reports. You could start by forgetting about emoticons just prior to learning about the apostrophe.

Move it to the sell section, this is no more than advertising...outta here...
Wait for the ride report and then we can comment on tyres, distance travelled and also give a plug for the sponsors!

Looking at doing 30 000 ish km's though this still has to be finalised. As for the bikes, we're going to buy two 2nd hand early 2000 BMW 650GS/Dakar bikes in the UK, so we'll prep the bike there. I was thinking of buying bikes here, but they're just to expensive along with shipping and so forth. The trip should consist of about 35% off road and 60% road.

Sponsorship would be great or any deals though I'M not expecting it!
