You dropped your wallet at 100kmph on SH2

.....and luckily you waved when you past me, or I would not have stopped to get your wallet (just kidding)

The good news is, wallet man had a business card in there...just rang him and he will drop by shortly to pickup whats left of the wallet after a dozen or so cars ran over it. I dont think his subway subclub card will be honored anymore.

The moral of the story? Always wave.

I never have more than $40 or so dollars in my wallet anyway...

If I lose my wallet and get it back minus the $40 it wouldn't worry that much.
Losing a wallet and having to get everything replaced is the problem!

A smart thief would insist on dropping the wallet off to you, right after writing down your CC details.

You never find out his name as he's just a nice guy doing a nice thing and doesn't want any credit for it.

6 months later your CC is down 12k :P

Moral of the story, replace your CC as if it was stolen.

Well, wallet man got his wallet. He'll have to replace his bank cards anyway because they were all cracked in half from the cars rolling over it, but yeah, I agree with the idea to replace them no matter what, even though I am not a theif!

I wasn't saying you are a thief! It was just a little warning for others who may be in this situation in the future

I found a wallet in the street in Masterton a few years ago. Had quite a bit of cash in it. I handed it in at the local cop shop. Rang them a few days later to see if it had been collected, it had. Not even a call or a card from the owner saying "thanks".

    What an ungrateful CUNT.

Me - every week I withdraw my spending money. When it's gone then I know that I have no spare money to spend on non urgent items until the following week. Seems to work for me as I am now debt free and know exactly what I am spending and saving..... Not that this would work for everyone.

Every fortnight I get a cash advance from work...

Never carry a wallet or credit cards around town, only a little cash and photo copy of passport with visa.

Never use an ATM or buy anything with a credit card in town....ever.

But then this is Kyrgyzstan, the officially 5th most corrupt country in the world..

Drop a wallet here at walking pace on a lonely street and turn around immediately...its gone.

I miss NZ...the honest upright trust worthy people...being able tho leave the keys in the car over night in suburban Ak and it still be there in the morning...
