Arrested because of dangerous driving, or because of your attitude?

I don't think it was an Attitude thing - I was driving at a stupid speed, and racing another car weaving through traffic. He asked me 2 questions "How fast were you going?" - "Not sure but definitely too quick" , "Were you racing the Skyline?" - "Yes".

He walked away, came back 5 minutes later and stated he was doing 150kph and I was pulling away (I honeslty wasnt sure how fast I was going), and told me I was under arrest for dangerous. The guys at the Police station seemed surprised as well. The cop was a Heavy Vehicle Officer in a ute so I had no idea when or where I passed him.

The really cool part was after my court hearing I found a hand delivered envelope in the mailbox with a ticket for No Wof, no reg and incorrect number plate mounting. This was after telling the judge I received no tickets at the time so she gave me a hefty fine to make up for it. Felt hard done by, but wasn't worth the stress so just carried on driving, and paid the fines off at $25 a week (which I had been for the last year or so anyway so didnt notice).

I was early 20's so it was par for the course at the time.

1 for "driving without due care and attention" when I was 16 and prolly about 6 speeding tickets in 54 years of driving. Clean record on bikes.

I would have been classed as a boy racer in my younger days, I never got into the boozing and burnouts, or doing laps of the main street etc. But had a real problem with a heavy right foot. I'm not much better on the bike these days, but seem to be able to choose time/place a lot better, or have just been lucky.

They say I changed lanes with out interacting! The cop was 1/2 km back with about 6x car and a truck between us and didn't see the car that cut me off. He didn't give me a ticket at the time but posted it. So didn't even have a chance to explain what happened

Spending tickets, I've had a few, but then again, too many to mention.

Along with a couple careless, a couple dangerous. Otherwise I'm squeaky clean.

Mind you, had more warnings than tickets. Also been stopped for a general inquiry about my lack of left arm on the bars.

(Oh and I have learnt now. Don't get into walking zone. Or at least don't get caught.)

Surprised? Yes. Concerned? No. Encouraging? Yes. Even when I've received a ticket.

Uhhhhhhh I had a ticket once

    Wof/reg x a million or so.
Learner driver unaccompanied a few times
No L plates a few times.
Dangerous driving or careless? Once and one warning.
    False information
Excess breath alcohol (what a dick)
Riding a bike outside of licence conditions.
    Plus many more, I forget.

Never had a speeding ticket though
