Unhappy Fathers Day crash on Cove Rd, Mangawhai

Hi all, I crashed my gixxer into a car that was doing a U-turn on a blind corner on sunday.Somehow I walked away from it . A seperated shoulder, tweeked knee, bruised ribs and a rather achy body is pretty good considering the circumstances.
I just wanted to post it on here incase any of the motorists who helped out at the accident happen to read this. A couple of them where motorcyclists .One guy on a bike who was first on the scene gave me support and helped out with the ambo's,another guy took some photos for me. I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for going out of your way to help out,it made me feel alot more relaxed after a horrible experience. My poor bike is mangled, the impact was at the front but it also cracked the swing arm through both sides. I hope to be on a new bike in 6 weeks or so,and I hope this sort of accident never happens to anyone else. Once again thanks to you all for helping.

Ouch! Glad to hear you are able to post about it! Big ups to the bikers who gave you a hand, sounds like it was a pretty bad incident ... Heal up quick, have fun shopping for a new bike and take your time getting back into the swing of things!

Thanks guys for the well wishes, the body is feeling better each day. No news on the bike yet,but Im sure it will be a write. Not the best way of having to get a new ride. I try really hard to be a safe rider on the road, Im shocked that other road users are still making stupid decisions that harm others. I would of thought motorists would have heard all the horror stories of people doing u-turns in the wrong places. Obviously not.

I ride around that area on a fairly regular occasion, thats really a shame that some moron has decided to do something so stupid.

Glad to hear your ok though and will be back in the saddle shortly, Heres hoping for the speed recovery of injuries.

There's a noticeable lack of information about the accident from the OP.

Why...? Is it against your rules for someone to put a post up without intricately describing every last detail for you to check, double check and sign off on?

Wow... come on OP, get your act together!
