I can only relate, except I was hit by a mobility van that failed to giveaway and ended up snapping clean in half my fibula and my tibia as well as shattering my ankle. Six months on and I'm still at home recovering and shopping for a new bike. At least you have six weeks. It could of been worse, at least you didn't lose your arm, I almost lost my left foot.
Crashing is not fun, especially on a day like fathers day.

Looks like she was a bloody nice ride Twinfin...can't get over that swing arm cracking like that.

What I wanna know is how the hell a frontal impact causes the swingarm weld to crack like that. Bit fucking weird if you ask me. Which you didn't.....

That person (a prickess) had no injuries,and was able to drive their car home. I wont say to much about them as they have yet to be charged.
As for how the swing arm cracked, I think the bike went UP on impact and came down on its side and the rear wheel hit the ground first,causing the swingarm to try and flex sideways.

Jeepers even under those circumstances I would hope the welds on a swingarm would hold together! That don't look good to me considering the impact wasn't hard enough to cause any damage to the rear rim???
