    Thrashing ideas for a CBR125

    hey there
does anyone know where (if possible)i can get avgas and for how much?
ive noticed a significant difference between 91 and 98 so i just want to be stupid about it and try avgas. any ideas on this?

    maybe i should have mentioned-
the bike oveheated and need the internals redone. so its been bored out and stuff by the last owner. i also took the snorkle out of the airbox and it sounds mint. im thinking of putting a pod filter in and attaching a yoshimura carbon fibre exhaust system.

    THIS BIKE NEEDS SOME THRASHING!!

Won't do anything, just your imagination.

It's made for 91 and it doesn't have compression to make use of higher. All in your head I'm afraid.

You'll be able to buy it at the aeroclub... But it's crap gas, full of lead to stop detonation on those old 1950 technology Lycoming and Continental engines.

Your Honda wont like it... its made to run on unleaded.

No no don't listen to them, It'll be awesome. Probably another 8-15hp guaranteed & you can take that to the bank. Should make it a real wheelie monster.

Challenge Pukekohe sells 120 Octane Racegas, I put $20 in the boat now and then, especially after winter to raise the octane in the underfloor tank.

Str8 makes a good argument, no point pissing around. Best to Blueprint it. Think that's something architects do. Try the yellow pages. Also polish the head. Solvol always makes a good job & should make it blingy to boot.

i have some spare power band you can add to your cams, free if you want them.

Raises an interesting question though. What fuel do you guys run?

I have always run 98 where possible, 95 if it's the only thing on offer.
I suppose being carby and not high compression it doesnt really matter, but I prefer the good stuff =D
