    Smile MY NEW BIKE

Picked up my new bike today. Now that I'm used to the different attitude of a Jap 4 compared to a V-Twin, I'm rapped.
This is a 6 month old 2003 1000GTR. (First registered 6 months ago). Only done 2,850km.

Dealer bought a few of the last ones made and this was the last one. Some 'old fella' bought it who was really after a Nomad. As they weren't available at the time, he bought the GTR instead. Now that he can get the Nomad, he traded it back. Showroom condition.

Were you thinking of importing one from the US? Someone was.
If you were after something similar how about the update of what you already have, the XJ900 Diversion?

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Mm thanks for that ... Frosty suggested that also, but thery are still 5 speed I believe, which ... dare I say.. As I get older!! I'd prefer the motor to be taking it easy, like me. Present '84 XJ at 110k's is doing 5500rpm. And Rpm = fuel usage. So whether the later Diversions are any taller in the gearing I dont know.
But its fun pondering what to spend the money you dont have.
