    Thanks mate.
Going off to a screen manufacturer shortly to see about a slightly larger screen for me to hide behind. Looks like a good place here in Perth that supplies internationally. Will let you guys know what they are like.

Will do. I try to avoid riding in the 'bush' first thing in the morning and at twilight for that very reason.

Enviable. The GTR is one of the few things that I'd replace the GS1100 with, being a more up to date (water cooled, 16 valve, unitrack etc) version. Are you going to call it Connie?

Hey! 1000 posts. What happens now?
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

A bigger screen? Already looks pretty good to me (compared to my sportbike anyway). It must be damn cool riding behind something like that, you'd get to hear the engine so much more, and wouldn't feel like you're gonna go def from the wind noise.

My now EX wife wanted to come here. I kicked up at first, but it turned out to be a good move. (ps. now remarried) (ps. not to her!)

I find if I scrunch myself down a couple of inches the wind misses hitting my helmet full on and makes things more quieter and comfortable. 47cm screen.
I ordered the new one today. 52cm and tinted. Pick up Monday.

    Congrats dude--niiiice bike
Mate just a couple of things.before going to a higher screen just make sure the riding position is just right for you.
There are a range of after market handlebars which can raise or lower the bars by up to 30mm. Its just if its too low or high in the bars ya might end up wanting a different screen anyhoo.
Also be a tadd carefull at speed with the panniers on--above 160km/h (on a racetrack of course) she gets a tadd shakey in the back end
Also Im sure I said already--the Yanks call a gtr1000 a Concourse --or a Connie
if ya wanna see shit loads about em go to www.councourseownersgroup.com
Its US based but has heaps of info
    and again--congrats --yumeee

Excellent point about the handlebars, Frosty. The riding position is comfortable as it is, so the screen looks the best bet. Went out for the first time on it in the dark and it was also wet. Handled like a dream.
