get on, ride it like hell, wait for rev limiter to kick in. You have your redline.
ride it up to 100rpm below that point in every gear, everywhere you go, every time you ride.
Its what Jesus would do.
One must wonder if you need to redline in 5th to keep up with your mates whether you'll be around long enough to have to worry about the engine lasting.

By redline do you mean it doesnt valve bounce?
some bikes and cars have limiters that prevent it from bouncing..
Ride the snot out of it in first untill it blows up,
Congratulations, you found red.
Ducatis do not valve bounce....desmodromics its called...great engineering solution to the valve bounce problem.
Rev limiter in 5th? on public roads...I assume you are having a lend?
How many teeth on your primary sprocket?
You want quick gear changes? 3rd gear, throttle wide open, pressure under gear lever after 7000....when it hits the limiter you will be in 4th in a flash...Dont back off, keep the throttle pinned....4th to 5th do the same and 5th to 6th....then when you reach 140kph, back off because if you get caught you will be walking.
I sold my S4R in December, can't remember the redline limit but seem to recall there was one but you had to look hard to see it. The line around the outside of the dial changed colour. Maybe 9,500? Probably more than you should need on the road?
Many (most?) owners fit a 14t sprocket. It makes the bike easier to ride in town and in the tight stuff. You'd need to check though, it may have one already.
The belts are supposed to be changed every two years, whether the bike is used or not. Of course if you feel really really lucky you wouldn't need to bother...
But that could be seriously expensive.

It's not, he's wrong. Just change up when it runs out of puff, let the feeling of the bike be your guide... or the rev limiter... it's their to stop you hurting the bike. I've never ridden that model, but I'm picking if there is no obvious red line on the tacho, or no tacho at all, then it's probably not making power way up high, so you'll be naturally changing well before the red line in any case.
10500 is mighty high for a road going V twin, Italian or otherwise
Do you mean this site?
Yeah I did find that site and alas it was for a computer game not real life.
