    Woodhill Two Man Final 2011

Well its the last round this Sunday and probably the round every one seems to enjoy the most.
About 3 km of farm land to the forest loop of 12-15km then another 3 km back through the farm.

The forestry section is freakin awesome and quite flowing so it shouldn't whoop up.

Personally its my pick of the tracks this season and will be one to remember.

Double points this round and remember that you drop a round so even if you only did one round so far you can still gain a good result.
    Prize giving after the event.

You sure about the no whoops part Tony, I still have nightmares from the last round .

Sounds a plan, four of us coming down @ the moment.

    Im looking foward to it.
Myself and team mate are only two points ahead of the pro riders in the workshop graphic sponsered team, so it will be a fight to keep ahead of them.

That was definitely my favourite pick of the tracks too. Wicked wrap up to the series, one more round would have been nice. We don't have enough of those two man series in the North Island, they're great fun.

Track was much more fun that the other rounds, if only it had rained all night instead of just in the morning.

First lap wasn't much fun. Took a slide on some slick grass not long after the start and smashed my peak and bent my hand guard. Couldn't hold on the throttle on properly after that, wet gloves and grips and sand/mud, had to ride a lap chicken wing style.
Second lap was better, clean gloves, and the rain held off, much faster.
Third lap, 2/3 of the way round I couldn't feel my hands any more, had a scary moment when clutch hand came off the bars coming into a corner pretty fast, probably one of the biggest nearlys, just expected to get flicked off into a tree, but the bike tracked straight, over bumps, under brakes with one hand on the bars.....I put it down to skill.

    Cheers Tony and the crew.

Fantastic track. For my first race series I think I did quite well.
It would have been mad in the forest without that rain, but that down hill of mud was a great test especially the last two laps with no back brake.

Thanks to all that made this possible. I will be back next year (if the body heals).

How is the scoring worked out? not that i am challenging for the title.
Just can't see how someone the does one round beats someone that does all three.

Double points for round 3, and dropping points for your worst round, meant someone who did pretty well at round 3 could have placed higher for the series than someone who didn't do particularly well at round 3.
I did round 1 and 2, but changed team mate for round 3, and I finished higher overall with just my round 3 result than with 1 and 2 combined.

And i guess the points allocation is nothing like what it said on the web site at endless dirtbiking then?

    The part about 1st = 50 and 50th = 1, I guess not.
    I think it actually went 1st = 25, 2nd = 22, 3rd = 20, 4th = 18, 5th = 16, 6th = 15, 7th = 14, 8th = 13, 9th = 12, 10th = 12.......etc etc. Or something like that.
Which is just how SilverBullet do the timing/scoring.

It does clearly say in the rules "There are three rounds in total. Two out of the three rounds count towards
points. There will be double points for the last round."

Yeah, you didn't have a very good partner for the first two rounds though.
