Still a couple of weeks away. Back to get some exhaust work fixed next weekend, the WoF & rego, hopefully all set to go again early June for moderate rides early June. Won't make Woodman's ride next weekend.
Woodmans Wild Weekend Wonder Ride.
Ok the plan is to meet at the Havelock BP station at 8.30am Saturday 25th. Leave by 8.45am. Route is (loosely):
Ride to Kaharanaki Station-head up to the top of the hill for a gander over the bay- 4wd track steep in places but no too taxing
Then on to Karaka beach, Gavel to Pouriri,
Beach it to Blackhead
Gravel to Parongahu - depending on time and enthusiasim quick run up the Northern end of Porangahu beach
On to Parongahu Pub for lunch
there are a few options for after lunch riding so will be group decision.
Weather looks good so should be a great days sight seeing and adventuring.

Night Falcon what time are you planning on getting to the Pub

Hummm depends on how long it takes to ride up an down kahuraniki and if we check out north end of paranaghu beach, but I would estimate right about let me see maybe something like 11:30 - 12 ish maybe give or take say 30 mins possibly? The bacon and egg burgers are worth the trip alone from palmavagus though:

Will be great to see you Gerard. Won't be too much longer & you can join us
Yup, those meals at the Porangahau Pub are HUGE . . . . no wonder those big Harley & Sport bike rider's go there
So. . . you joining us Bart ???
It shouldn't be long now I think the good bike rego runs out in June. I need to get the Ruffy going fix the mirror, indicator and front beak and will be good to go.
Last ride around the block was 600kms a bit sore afterwards but I think I just need some more bike time.

Well it looks like I can't use the weather as an excuse......so I guess I'll turn up for the morning at least.
My chain is absolutely rooted, but I'll try squeeze another few hundred k's out of it. 4500km out of a chain. I think I'll have to ignore my Scottish heretage and buy a decent one next time.
looks like its gonna be a good turn out, even decided to fit the new E07 on the rear just for the occasion. Had it "seasoning" in the tire rack for 6 months so should get plenty of wear out of it. Just under 7K again on the K60 but it was pretty slick about 1500k's ago and now has bits of rope and wire poking out of it.....funny that, I don't remember running over any rope or wire![]()
