Hope its's a holiday you are having over there Wade, not more work. Have fun & you were like a young hardout MX rider on your 590 the other weekend. Keep it up & we all will practise hard while you are away.

with lunch and refuel in Waipuk. It will consist of beach, as much shingle road as possible and the tar seal bits in between.
AM will be a big loop running along the coast then up and over the hills into the northern end of Tararua country and back around to Waipuk. A lot of hilly ,twisty shingle roads.

PM will be up in the ranges which will consist of some up and back on dead end roads but again, twisty hilly stuff and great scenery and some awesome views. Back home via Highway 50

Looking at mid April, poss Sat 21st or Sun 22nd, I thought doing it on the Sunday would be easier for the Sat workers.

I spose I should check the tides for that weekend.
Just went into Honda & the replacement LED tail light I ordered is on back order May not get till the end of the month & then hope that will solve my LOL 'rear end' problems In the mean time I'm not sure if a temporary trailer light will fit in narrow space allocated for my LED ??? So may be out for ride. I will keep you posted.

There has to be a way to sort out your "Rear end" so you can come on the ride. Has anyone out there in HB got an old tail light assy that can be fitted to the back of her bike in the mean time?

    Cheers

Just to update you Ross, tried the local bike shops to see if they had my LED tail light in stock, but no luck. Even tried Super Cheap Auto but their LED's weren't suitable even with 25% off.
Have John calling in sometime with his meter to check whether there is power going through to my rear end plug. Hopefully yes and all I am waiting for is my replacement LED. This time I will run a silicone bead around the tail light to stop all the crap getting in and corroding it. I'm suprised at the price I paid, that it wasn't already sealed or at least water proof!
Many thanks for your offer of help. Will keep you updated.

Just a final check to see who is interested in coming down for a beach and shingle road ride on Sun the 22nd as detailed earlier in this thread. ( Was going to be Sat but looks like I may be working in the morning.) If you would like to participate then its 9 am at Elsthorp.

    Cheers

Yeah, I would have prefered Sat but at this stage Im working Sat morning so Sunday it is. If anyone does come down, meet at Elsthorp at 9 am and its just along from the Kahuraniki intersection where there is a big parking area, Ill be in there.
There is also a local fund raising trail ride in the Elsthorp area so prob be heaps of bikes around.

    Cheers

Have tail light mount back & have the use of the tail light & brake light but no back indicators. Not sure why but enough to do the ride on Sunday. I'm in

Many thanks Ross for a great day.
What a perfect autumn day for riding. Great views, fab back roads & your mate Colin, who happened to be coming the opposite way on Te Uri Road with spare Steak Pies, still warm from town. CHOICE !!!!
Nice to ride with you again Grant

    Wade's ride

Wade has asked me to post up a ride he's sorted out for tomorrow. This is the section we missed on the RRRR a few months ago. It's taken some work to get access, so it's very short notice. Meet at BP Waipawa 12 noon tomorrow.

    Should be a goody.

Have plans for tomorrow but if they change I'll let you know. Is this the off road/ farm ride ? Would so like to do that.

Yeah, it's through some farms. I think most of the tracks are lime based, so should be hard with plenty of traction (hard as in 'not muddy', not as in 'not easy', if you get my drift).
