Cool pics Raymond Remembered that crossing on last years RRRR as 500 meters later my tail section containing my light, indicators & number plate broke off. A stress fracture in the metal bracket.

Well I can see how that fella in the other thread crashed, there are lots of random soft patches getting up the Tukino 4WD access track.
Got up no worries, track in good nick just care required. Both mountains looking stunning. Shooting into light so photo not the best trying to expose for bike and snow at same time.
Gate locked just past cell towers, could see bike tracks going around it but DOC ute parked nearby so behaved myself. Plus even walking off the track the ground is soft enough.
For the trout fishers the Moawhango river was super clear and saw few trout swimming past

That other fella crashes lots, but that's OK, because he's a hard bastard.

Last time I was up there it looked a bit more lord of the ringsish

Cheers Marty. Cool stuff Bart, yeah it can be quite surreal up there with all the rock, got some good shots with bit of cloud about when did Ngaruhoe summit last year.
Was supposed to be going back soon, might have to buy some crampons and poles!

Another stunning riding day in the bay yesterday - managed to get past crocodile lake and over Te Kooti's bridge (i didn't know it was called that but lots of history google tells me) as they left the gate open but the amount of warning signs on the other side about access without permission being a NO GO coupled with big logging trucks coming down the switch backs i turned around. Caught a big brown trout at 6.4 lbs and a couple of rainbows.

Allot of logging going on so the odd truck to keep you alert on blind bends on the way home , then along Darky's Spur rd with great views of the hills then Napier in the setting sun to finish off the day.

One for you Marty chased it till it got tired and moved out the way then came round the next bend and there's a bloody great beef cow in the middle of the road

Nice work pomo - a mad cow in the road could be a problem but riding old Stanley least gives you the weight advantage

Hi Wade wondered if someone would comment on that my work is summer seasonal moving your fellow countrymen around the lower north island on their holidays and as weekends are filled with father duties when the planets align in the week i grab the chance to disappear. All work and no play made jack mmm mmm mmm mmm see you out there sometime.

I am quiet this time of year also. With Bart working 4 on and 4 off he might also be up for a weekday ride

    Keep me posted!

Went for a wander up back of Raupunga into Ross country today, might put some pics up later. Went as far as one lane bridge with yellow sign that made it clear not to go further
Some nice high vantage points and a different perspective on area. Had a nosey at the Mohaka bridge from the other side by the graveyard too.
