Yeah, I know I’m slack. Working huge shifts at the moment, so struggling to breathe let alone sort out photos.

Yea, you heard right! I rode the old DR 350 down the road to bring my dog home and the dog he was visiting had a go at me...

He bit me twice on my boots.. Good thing I had them on and not my runners......

So, my dog and I have had a good talk and he isn't going there anytime soon!!!

Crossed the Motu rd off the list today. Awesome burger for lunch in Matawai at the Café then into it. Looks like lot of maintainance done recently and a digger bucket still parked on one of corners.
Road in pretty good condition, you'd even get through fine in a car. Twisty as, bit like going up to the hot pools here but with way more native bush, so much that they've massacared a fair few punga ferns that must have been encroaching onto the road too much. Ten mins on the bach at opotiki then home through the Waioeka gorge which is like a motorway compared to the last time I went through it about 12 years ago.

sounds like the Motu last changed a bit since I was there, but that was in 09.... on a new 690 wonder what it'd be like on 530

Obligatory photos of the trip are obligatory

Judging by the scale of the work done I'd say it prob gets some choice 4WD ruts going on in the winter.... There were a couple of hefty near vertical step climbs that would be interesting in wet without momentum.
I have to sort out my free pic hosting setup, this site is annoying for posting images to.
