Dealer apathy?

Cannot believe how little many dealers seem to care about new business there. I have emailed more than once about 9 or 10 dealers in and around Wellington and the only guy to get back to me is Carl from Motorad. I stated in emails what I was looking for when I get there in about a month and a half which translates to somewhere between $10,000.00 and 20,000.00. I guess good old Carl will be getting my business. Just a little rant wondering why most of these dealers even have contact info on their websites.
Anyone here had dealings with Motorad and care to enlighten me if they are good to deal with?

I have just Bought a bike from them. I dealt with Glen, and everything went very well. I live at the opposite end of the country to wellington so buying thru the web and by phone I had to grill Glen about everything. He was very good to deal with.And I am very happy with my new bike. I can recommend them for sure.

Firstly, there's only 5 dealers in the Wellington region and I personally have email exchanges between you and myself dating back to May 31, last one being yesterday.

For the record, I'm not Carl and I don't work at Motorad.

Do you want a list of all the dealers I've been in contact with and the only 2 or 3 that have gotten back to me? 2 or 3 since May and only Carl in the last week or so that I have been making more inquireries and 2 after I put up this post. And why don't you enlighten me who you are really so I can make sure you don't get any of my business when I get there smart guy since it seems more important to you to call me out then to help. Fact is I went back and checked my emails and it's even more then 10 when I include dealers from Auckland and also the northern part of south island and only a small fraction have even had the courtesy to email any kind of reply back. Good way to run a business.

To be fair, he did say the Wellington region...which covers more than Wellington city.

If I were use the Waikato region as an area of reference, that would include Morrinsville/Cambridge etc...not just Hamilton

Yea I check that always and nothing. Example, I've emailed City Honda 5 or 6 times with 4 of those times being in the last week cause they had quite a few bikes I liked and have yet to hear anything from them other then the automated reply when you contact them from they're web page telling me someone will be getting back to shortly.

Actually, working in such a small industry it pisses me off when people want to make bogus claims that "only one person in the whole Wellington region got back to me" when it's quite simply not true. That's why it's important for me to call you out. Because you're talking crap.

So which is it? 2 or 3 replied or "only Carl from Motorad" because now I'm confused.

A simple search through some of my posts will enlighten you as to who I am and where I work. As to not wanting to help you out, I'm really more than happy to. I enjoy assisting fellow bikers and I'm paid well to do it.

I have experienced similar with my small business.

We had an 0800 number. People would ring up, and insist the other person they spoke to had offered them a better price or said the freight would be free.

Given that at that time I was a one man band and I had taken every call it was always amusing to hear people insisting they had spoken to someone else.
