    NZ ACC moaners got nuffink.

I just got my KLR650 rego in Queensland - $AU980 pa and it doesn't cover me for injury - just 3rd party insurance.

You actually still have it real good over there.

Having worked in the bike industry over there...I know this. But Kiwi's will always moan. I think we're incredibly lucky.

It's rained for 2 hours in three weeks and that was the only day with any clouds. :-)

Yeah, but it's too extreme for me. You wilt and melt in Summer, freeze in Winter and you get massive floods when it does rain...

Only cause we don't have compulsory insurance, if we had that here we'd be worse off

But there - I don't need to insure 'you' - because your ACC does.

True but third party is for the other vehicle, not the person. ACC is for the person.

Yep lots of NZers get confused over the 3rd party compulsory insurance thing. Here they just mean so the bugger can pay for the damage to your property. They don't realise that that is a fraction of what other countries have to cover with their 3rd party and therefore why insurance is compulsory in those countries. We have the ACC covering the main purpose of the compulsory insurance elsewhere.
