    Which 85?

Getting Luke a bigger bike in next couple of weeks but am unsure as to what bike to get him.
he is on a ktm 65 now but not sure whether to keep him on a ktm. i can get a new rm for around 5k the new ktm are around 8 i think.
if i go ktm i wont be buying new and am unsure as to whether they are worth that much more and i think i can prob get a linkage to lower the jap bikes where i doubt i could on the ktm.,
from what i have read is that the rm has only had graphics done since 2003 and not sure what the kx or yz have had if anything.
have any of you had experiance with either brand 85 and whats the pro and cons of them.
    Thanks

the RM85/KX85 and KTM 85's will be the easier bikes to ride, as they have power valves and a boarder power band the the YZ and CR,

the RM85 is a great bike, none of the Japanese models have had any updates since the early 2000's

is you want a KX. i have a brand new 2010 KX85 little wheel that i can do for similar money

I have a KX85 and love it. Only other i've owned/ridden is a CR80. The KX85 has alot more useable power than my CR - there are many reasons for that though.

A friend who's owns a TTR125 (?) tried my KX and really liked it. She then tried a KTM 85 and HATED it. She found it was to aggressive and its actually put her off buying any 85. Not sure if others have found this but I have been told the KTM65's outta the box are more aggressive than the other 65's.

Got Luke an 2010 RM 85.
It goes really well , He is stoked with it because he loves the monster energy hype and this bike has black rims and monster graphics so he as happy as a pig in shit.

Is there any tips you guys have on the 85?
I dont mean for more speed just any general or RM specific tips.

    Thanks

    Kids love "cool" looking bikes.
Always have a spare plug on you on rides. May find though he doesn't foul many though but better to be safe than sorry.
