I heard he found the bike in a skip bin outside TSS.

Makes sense, will definitely try that. Muddy conditions I need really low pressure to get the tyre to flex and spread out, but the beach is actually a lot firmer than that.

Would be pretty insane on a beach.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

You'd NOT be wanting a tank slapper there.

I can imagine that coming off would be rather messy...ones body wouldn't slide or roll...it would dig into the sand and decelerate rather quickly.

Wouldn't be pretty. I've been ejected on the beach a few times at some quite high speeds, but nothing like the speeds that fruit cake was doing!!

Looks like a B-King to me...even the engine. So wonder if it really is GSXR1000 powered?

Yes, I can tell you from first hand experience that you tumble and end up eating lots of sand. I was ejected from the seat at near top speed, ended up kissing the front guard but then staying balanced, upright rolling straight ahead yet out of control. I decided to try to gently roll off the bike rather than spear into the quad & trailer carrying the spare steel fencing! This all went on long enough for a photographer to change cameras, change battery packs, and still rip off quite a long sequence of shots of it all. One classic shot is me on my knees with sand draining out of my helmet while the bike is still airborne cartwheeling behind me.

I certainly wouldn't want to try that stunt at the top speed of an R1 or gixxer thou... or even in the top half of their speed capability, even on the beach!!
    Cheers,
    Colin
