Shaun, I normally stay out of your threads.
We go too far back for me to push my ideas on you, and don't won't to risk our friendship on frivolous blather.
But I do agree with your thought on giving the m/cycle business idea a rest.

I left the whole scene because it gave me the shits in the end.

Go do something else for a while. It dosen't matter what it is. (you know construction, and Western Aus has alot of projects happening), but most of all, keep those that care for you close to you.
    Money isn't everything.

Shaun I'm gutted to hear about your latest set back. The new shop sounded like a real lift for you when it started.

I hope things work out better for you with your fresh start in Australia.

Very sad for you Shaun after seeing your enthusiasm when you opened. Enjoyed meeting you when you gave my bike the once-over and was about to book it in to get the work done you suggested. I reckon what you planned to do would have worked out there. All the best for the future.

    Bumpety bump!

It's D-day folks, so if anyone can help Shaun out by popping in and picking up a bargain, please do so! He's on site and waiting...

I'm off down there now, Shaun's given out his address and phone number for contact, he hasn't got access to a computer.

    A shame to hear.

With the bike industry as slow as it is in NZ I though you were game - darn shame as it sounded like you were building a client base.

Something that still surprises me with bike shops is the lack of any form of set-up if you drop $20k plus on a new fancy pants road bike. They taketh your money and send you on your way with nary a twiddle on the suspenders.

Very valid point, in fact the training for suspension has changed very little if at all since I went through trade school in the 70s. It has effectively become a trade in its own right
