I think a lot of people (including myself) regard suspension a black art, and best left to specialists (like yourself).

Which is a shame. Its just a way to control oil flow to reduce movement. If you can work out a carb a shock is easy.

I had a mate with a race car that didnt understand his suspension. I drew it up as an electrical diagram (hes a sparky) and he got it right away.

Not a black art, just a bit hidden.

Most definitely true in my case.

Guess my bikes will have to make the long trip down to you.
Thought that was a winner with Shaun opening a place up here.

Oh well back to the original plan.

Mon an understanding of suspension principles is actually not that hard to get. Heck If I understand it and can get a clear mental image of the mechanics ANYBODY can.
The art is where for a given application, time of year, rider weight, rider preference. etc You set up a shim stack, oil viscocity and quantity etc etc to suit perfectly and set preloads etc perfectly. THAT is an art.
Or asking a customer with little/no setup knowledge their riding style and what the bikes doing and setiing up factory stuff so it works best for that customers needs.

....had the same thing explained to me a couple of years ago..Graeme Crosby drew a graph and showed me (well tried to) how it all works..he went on to say that if I had any problem just to take the bike out to him and he'll look at it..
Never felt the need to but the offer was a genuine one...
Now theres a bloke who knows a thing or two.

There was one thing Croz sure did know and that was how to ride fast no matter how good the suspension was, e.g. 2 stroke Kawasakis for a start of 40 years ago.

THANKS TO ALL THAT HAVE BEEN CUSTOMERS

My Buisness partner was the Financuall investor in this start up buisness, and unfortunately has NO MONEY it turns out, his intensions were correct I believe.

Everything in the shop MUST be go ASAP, and there is a huge amount of work shop equipment and spare parts in there.

I have been fighting for too long now to get my life back on track after the event in 2007 and are completely burnt out now and do not have a cent to my name!!!!

    So all reasnoable offers accepted

I will be there all day Saturday, come and make my day Please

MODS, If I am in the wrong thread, PLEASE HELP ME OUT AS I REALLY NEED IT, and to say this on the Internet is extremelly embarrasing

I will NOT be trying to open any motorcycle related buisness from now on, I have had enough of being a failure.

Thanks to all on this site that have helped and dealt with me over the years
