    Question Here's a thought....

Whilst riding to work the other day, I had a thought that I thought I might share with you guys.

In winter, the roads are greasier and tyres aren't so sticky, so shifting your body weight for corning allows you to shift your centre of gravity without getting the bike too far over and risk low-siding.

BUT, modern tyres are softer and stickier on the outside, so surely at some point it must be actually safer to lean the bike further over and utilise the stickier rubber. Just a thought.

Would suspect that temperature would come into it somewhere along the lines tho. Would not advocate flinging the bike into the nearest available corner next time its cold and wet just to test how soft and sticky the outer reaches of your tyre's tread really are

I'll still take it easier in the corners with my bike.
The Triumph Rocket I tried on Sunday seemed to grip in the odd wet bend.

If you have greasy roads due to dust and film........ add some moisture = take it easy no matter what tyres you have on.
