    Wheel rim question...

Hi am just working on a bucket project and have a question regarding a dent on a front RGV250 mag wheel...Do small dents to the outer bead of the rim compromise the wheel in any way...? In this case there was a small dent on one side next to the valve stem which I managed to straighten a little using a plastic mallet...wheel seems to run pretty true..advise please...

On a bucket it should be fine. I've repaired a few bike wheels, tho I prefer not to do fronts, I have done (I fix car alloys at work) and as long as you haven't be stoopid there should be no probs.
And of course ANY repair will tend to weaken it a bit, but you can do some fairly major one's without compromising safety too much...
