what are they like performance wise? fuel economy?

4 would be a squeeze, comes with a towbar unlike most of them, so you could carry another 3 or 4 on a trailer.
I think its pretty reasonable power wise, but anything feels like a racecar after driving my deisel ute. Economy depends on how you drive it, its nothing great if your sitting in traffic, but it does alright sitting at 100kmh. No van is that great though, theyr not exactly aerodynamic.
if your interested youd be best to come and drive it. its a solid van with a few more k's left in her yet
