to be fair though, the bikes today have much much better safety shit, better tyres, better suspension, better leathers with that whole airbag thingamy, better track surfaces, bigger run off areas and so on and so forth.

I did it at Wanganui in '05' racing my RMZ450, and slammed into the bridge coming on to the front straight. Didn't boo hoo then, and never have for your information tough guy.

Yep...I find people that are beating me up badly in an argument as annoying as fuck too. Bout as annoying as people that think they know more than they do. Here's a wee pic of the ankle I destroyed for your viewing pleasure. Yep...it hurt a lot more than any broken wrist you're likely to get. Especially when I stood on it.

Anyone remember the speedway rider Nigel Boocock who rode at Western Springs back in the seventies?Legend has it that he broke his ankle so to compete in the next race he tied a rope around his boot and attatched the other end to his knee to stop his foot flopping around and digging in on the corners!

For sure! But I think I've seen nearly as many highsides in the 800cc era as I did in the 500cc era.

Number 34 was hard alright, he was just a little short on talent. Mind you it's a good thing he was born when he was, a few years later and he wouldn't have even had a look in. Win or bin just didn't stand up any more.
Apparently it get's you a factory ride still.

    Simoncelli?

If that guy stays in one piece long enough...he may win races!

I sure hope so, I see either him or Marquez taking Dani's spot in the near future. Anywho, i'm leading off topic, sorry.

Dunno, too early to judge. Some people fall off quite a bit adjusting to the motogp bikes and then seem fine. Some people just fall off a lot and get sacked. He seems to have his balls chopped off a bit as of late. I dare say DORNA will learn what makes good racing about the time they've totally fucked it.

To be honest mate...any cunt that gets to that level of racing is a hard bastard. They've all had literally hundreds of biffs to get that far, and every single one of them would hurt. Lorenzo racing with both ankles broken a couple of years ago? De Puniet coming back from a badly broken leg in 28days? Rossi the same thing? Bautista snapping the top of his femur off? Stoner rode most of '09' I think it was with a scaphoid that was still broken...the list goes on and on.

They're all tough cunts...even to be riding those nasty things.

A guy I know named Bruce who raced at the IOM 3-4 weeks after having major surgery to have cancer removed from his spine... they removed his stomach to get to it...
