$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
What caused the chunk to fall of (i.e. was it impacted and beaten off, or melted?)Originally Posted by unhingedlizard

The dreaded detonation.
What gas do you use & where you fill up is suspect supply. My RZ was reliable as despite the increased compression etc. Then they changed the petrol (from super leaded, ok it was some time ago huh) & the first long ride I went on chasing some bigger bikes, it Chernobyl’d.
Other option is leaking head gasket.
Check out this guide
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
I usually fill it with 91, that day i filled it with 96 in Hamilton and 91 in Auckland.
MMMM, might run 96 from now on. Replacing the headgasket as well, it is fine but replacing all gaskets anyhow.
42,000km might have something to do with it to......

Yes 96 would be wise.
Just be double sure that there is no ally left on the bore. Can take it off with caustic soda if you are careful.
