The guy in the video below takes his little dog in the right hand pannier of his FJR. He even has a little windscreen for him. You can see the hound a couple of times in the vid.

Back in the early `90`s my lab used to ride on the tank of my XV750, he was a pup at the time. As he grew he got too big, so I cut the tank and widened it 5" (also helped a lot with fuel range). Later on I had a XJ650 and I made a trailer for the dog, and to cart gear to ralleys etc. First time I sat him in the trailer was all good, until I started the bike, he jumped up straight back on the tank.
Did a lot of miles with that old dog, one of the best riding buddies I`ve ever had.

This is Ted the Welsh Terrier.

He comes almost everywhere with me as well. He is a bit small to sit on the back without his biker basket and he is also a terrier's terrier and would jump off to chase anything that moves. He hates the Doggles and takes them off. He is a lot easier to take in the side car than the Harley. We do all the toy, hospital and kiddy runs we can get to, he is a great hit with the kids.

He gets a lot of nice attention when we go out, however we were having lunch in Leeston the other day and the rozza turned up, it was reported that some group of bikers were dragging a dog up the road behind a bike. Yea right, it was Ted on the back of the Harley in his basket, bunch of tossers.

He is getting world famous in Oamaru.

    Great vid!!!!

I have to ask on here who rides with a dog on the tank around Auckland? I was riding through Kumeu last week and saw a dog riding on the tank going north... first time I've seen that but the dog looked quite happy.
