    FIREFOX & THUNDERBIRD USERS

There are new versions of Mozilla's Firefox & Thunderbird just out. Recommend an update to latest 1.0.5

You may have to go looking for it tho. The check for updates version in 1.04 doesnt find the new release, and its not on the main website.

No, it's a PROPER Thunderbird. It's got all the GENUINE Triumph features, which we know and love -

Proper lubrication system - Your Tbird only lubricates the INSIDE of the motor. The genuine Tbird lubricates the ENTIRE BIKE , inside AND out. Now which is better I ask you ?

Proper brakes. There to pass a WOF and nothing else. Slowing down wastes momentum , and unnecessarily contrinutes to the depletion of the world's resources. Bet YOUR brakes actually stop the bike, eh. Waste waste waste.

PROPER Thunderbirds come with the unique RMS (Route Marking System) - sort of a precursor of GPS. You can ALWAYS find your way home, just by backtracking down the trail of motorcycle bits that are dropped along the road that you came out on, as a guide to the returning rider. All you have to do is stop and pick each piece up as you come to it, No risk of getting lost, and you just replace the bits when you get home, ready for the next ride. Bet YOUR Thunderbird doesn't have anything like that ,eh.

Proper Thunderbirds have a unique Rider Health Program (RHP) BUILT IN to them . No need to waste money on gym memberships, the Thunderbird provides all the exercise necessary , whenever you start it up.Thus saving you money, and assuring that the rider is always in top notch physical condition

It's not a proper Thunderbird if it doesn't have a primary chain. This will automatically detach the engine from the transmission at regular intervals, thus reducing wear and tear. To resume operation , simply replace the chain. Brilliant eh, but yours doesn't have that, does it?

Proper Thunderbirds also have environmentally friendly lighting systems. Light pollution around cities is a major environmental issue nowdays. The PROPER Thunderbirds 24 W headlamps reduce light pollution by over 50% compared to your Thunderbird's. Shame !

See all the features that a proper Thunderbird has that yours lacks ?

I stand corrected. And somewhat relieved.

I loved my T140 Bonneville. It was a truly beautiful looking motorcycle. But jeez I'm glad i don't have to 'deal' with it today.

My '95 tbird has been also prone to periods of 'charcter' - 4th gear failure, failure of the fuel tank lining and devastation of the fuel system, couple of sprag clutches a few seals and recently a coil. At does have 116,000 mostly flogged km on it - the last 90,000 mostly trouble free.

It has been thankfully more reliable than the Suzuki the preceeded it and it's propensity to spit head gaskets an' piss oil. Ironic no?
