WIMA is proud to announce its 6th Annual 2009 Pink Ribbon Motorcycle Ride supporting the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation.

All motorcyclists, women and men, trikes and scooters welcome

Wellington Branch ride details:
Date: 11th October 2009
Meet: 9:30am - Chicago Bar, Queens Wharf - Jervois Quay, Wellington
Riders Brief: 10.10am Sharp!
End: Same place - Chicago Bar, Queens Wharf - Jervois Quay, Wellington
Badges: $10 each - further donations will be gratefully accepted (Badges limited)
Available: Spot prizes, raffles and discounted nibbles/drinks at Chicago Bar.

FUNDS RAISED will go towards supporting the Foundation's activities including nationwide education and awareness programmes, as well as various initiatives within the vital field of breast cancer research. I got a leaflet on my bike the other day and someone just asked me about it

here is the info

We are doing our annual Wellington Pink Ribbon Ride on Sunday 11 October. Men, women and anyone else on a motorcycle (or scooter) is invited to come along and support this great cause!

Meet outside the Chicago bar on the waterfront, access by Frank Kitts Park from 9.30am. Riders briefing is at 10.10am.
Bring:
- a $10 donation (first 60 to register on the day get to collect a badge!)
- some pink gear to wear for you and the bike - we got some awesome photos last year!
Optional:
- cash for raffle tickets
- cash to spend if you want to participate in discount drinks/eats at Chicago Bar afterwards

Contact Carol on 021 872 443 if you need to know more, or want to sponsor the ride/raffles to support the pink ribbon appeal.

Probably not but there's no time like the present.

From the last 1 I went to they don't go out and about very far though and it's a wonderful day for it!

Nice little pootle around the bays and great to meet some of the Manawatu Kiwibikers

There was even a young chap on a little scooter! Good on em! I'm sure there will be some photos going up - loved the wings and feather boas!

there was a thread in Biker Angels which i didnt see till later.....I think they have merged the original biker angels thread with the one i started in meetings and events.

Had a great ride down from Palmy, great company, good bikes, and you can't beat Wellie on a good day weather

Good to catch up with some old mates followed by an excellent cruise round the bays for an excellent cause. Well done WIMA

Great day, starting with sleeping in

then losing pink bits a couple ks down the road, only to be reunited in Otaki (cheers Gary) certainly got the looks, laughs & waves from the kids so worth the effort
