For some reason I cant get the link to the crash to work.![]()
I think that the answer is simply that it is fun. Not that this is an excuse, but hey..many of us have done it mate! I get your point though, and I am sure Westy does too, he was a knob, pushing too hard with a serious lack of skills in the basket to handle his riding style. No one is arguing that, but no use continuing on with the lambasting when he is already rather contrite about his errors. If you went through all of my posts since 2004/2005 when I joined and started riding, I am sure you will find many comments that would be contrary to my current views given the progression of experience and the 'wisdom' one gains from having greater experience.
After 7 years of riding, I am not nearly the same person I was as a 20 year old. I know that Westy's case is a bit different given that those posts are not even a year old, but it only takes one incident to alter someones attitude and ultimately their behaviour. Essentially it is up to him to prove his intention. The KB halls are filled with people who are no longer with us due to accidents, some at their own fault, others victims of other road users...
It's only himself he is fooling by not sorting it all out, and I think he knows this. Mr Fruits offer is a good one. He would be silly not to take it up.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
Ahaha..
http://youtu.be/Owf9AHJ2ot8 new bike??
If its what I think it is, can you fire it off to me too!
Couldn't agree more. When I started riding, I always wanted to get my knee down. Then I went to Superbike School. Now I couldn't even care remotely and purely aim to get my riding stupidly smooth no matter how slow. The funny thing is, the next level for me at the school is about getting your knee down (basically).
Fuck meWhat did you ride like when you were young? The old man said drags down the main street was the thing to do. And only sissies wore helmets. Did you think about crashing and burning when you were a whipper-snapper?
30 years ago you could run wide on a corner and 9 times out of 10 you'd hit thin air.
Now days, 9 times out of 10 you'll run head-on into something far more solid.
30 years ago you could piss someone off on the road and maybe get verbally abused for it.
Now days, you're likely to have someone deliberately try running you off the road.
Don't go confusing today with 30 years ago.
