Hence the rest of my post...or did you choose to ignore that?? It IS why people (guys particularly) are fascinated with it. Doesn't mean that it is a justifiable reason Katman...
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Don't go confusing today with 30 years ago.
I hear this a lot from people that drove/ride 30 years ago. And in 30 years time I'll probably say the same thing about the conditions I drove/rode in.

But it's completely irrelevant what the conditions are like when you were young. The point is, your attitude towards those conditions at that time. Or more to the point, lack of. And your idea of "fun" at the times when you were young.

The old rockers drag raced with no kit on. The Generation XYZ tries to get their knee down. The Freaks that Float will bounce their hover bikes on to travelling cars. The common denominator is a young persons attitude.

The conditions in which we have our fun is not the issue. They simply dictate what the "fun" could be. The point is learning that the stupid shit you class as "fun" is actually that, stupid, before it's too late.

It goes a lot further than that.

We now live in an age where nanny state will quite happily remove our ability to have fun if we don't seriously look at regulating that 'fun' ourselves.

I totally agree. It's the attitude of when we are young. We all think we can do it on the road since it's "free". But telling someone they're going to die doing 'fun' stuff when they're young or telling them they're a loser isn't even remotely going to help.

Wouldn't it be nice if the next generation of young people decided that closed circuits are where it's at and that since so many more people are doing it the price comes drastically down to use them. And the companies operating them can make a good living by providing even more events.

Imagine the talent that we'd get through? Utopia.

    Yes and no.
Combine all solid colours - Black
Combine all wavelengths of colours - White

So the whole black/white is not a colour, its a shade is actually false - shading is the point between black and white.

This (theory) was changed in the late 70's when we digitalized the spectrum. Don't believe me - what colour is 0xFFFF and 0x0000?

Only six - consider yourself lucky. When in paint I had 32. With digital I have 256.

Ironically I thought I was colour blind for a while as I never saw black as black.....turns out I was seeing the highlights/tints.
What a mind fuck that was.
