Zed mate that was a picture of an SP-2 standing still. Not too sure how that proves their pace (damn it looks horn though )

Ok, "average" was inaccurate...what I meant is a GSX-R750 or any of the new 1000's. Even the 750 is more powerful I think, and weighs a decent bit less.

Ofcourse, much is down to the rider, so I won't accept any challenges

Saw this advertised on a Japanese Auction board, the first photo #19 is the genuine VTR1000 Moriwaki race bike, the rest though are of the replica road bike you can buy. Around $4500NZD.

Last years East / West sprints say otherwise, Sp2 was up there in the middle of the "new 1000" and someway ahead of most 750’s. Some bikes are better (or worse) than brochure ware would have you believe. Never under estimate a Vtwin.

Using the side fairings, belly pan and swingarm in the "non-works" bikes pics, I think that the donor bike is "just" a carbied VTR1000 Firestorm.
Yes, a Honda V-Twin, but as most SP owners (eh Deano?) will vehemently attest to, vastly different from the SPs.

Shame about the discontinuation of the SP tho. A Honda bike with some character. Just a shame it carried such a $$ premium compared to the 4 cylinders. And that awful plank of a seat, just like most sprots Hondas
Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] noun: a mythical entity presiding over bikers
Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

    dude - there's a reason it's changed so little.
    it's an absolutely brilliant bike.
don't get me wrong - i wasn't saying it was a bad bike.

And then the owner has have to hitch a ride on a Yamaha
