Road trip anyone?

Finally got my bike bought, serviced, rego'd, insured, blah blah blah. Looks like the weather's starting to clear too and I think I can FINALLY come up with some sort of plan for a decent road trip. To be honest, I've never really overnighted on a bike and I have a degree of trepidation about setting out on my own as a novice tourer.

Ideally, if anyone in Kiwibikerland was planning a trip or knew of anyone that might recruit a deckhand for their trip, it would be great. Even if anyone was interested in tying up for a few days here and there, the company would be great. I'm easy breezy and willing to travel to co-ordinate but currently in Auckland.

3 or 4 of us headin down to The Burt Munro Challenge leavin Auckland Sun 20/11 gettin back Sat 4/12.............pickin up another couple of riders CHCH on the way.........we gonna do a figure 8 sort of tour of the SI........i doubt it would be a problem if you joined us...........as long as ya honest........not a practicing christian,homo or a policeman

what part of ireland ya from ?? from belmullet myself.
miss the jumps/bumps/pot holes and ball crushing roads of mayo and galway
the stuff you could get away with over there on the roads is unreal. got caught maxing out my cbr600 one day but the cops couldnt do a thing as they had no evidence despite me passing them full tilt...
