There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
I hope there are helmet cams and handhelds being taken so I can see all the fun I missed out on afterwards.

I realise that this will be considered cheating, but i'm going to stick the bike in the back of the van for the trip up from Wellington, I have no set time for leaving so if anyone wants to chuck any extra gear in please let me know.

OK, good news & bad news.
Bad news is that I can't get us bagged lunches for Fri & Sat so looks like it will be Subway... Breakkie and dinner still in the mess if we want it.
Good news is the accommodation is free. Disclaimer: I haven't seen the barracks we're staying in - unsure if single rooms or dorm style but us beggars can't be choosers aye!
Friday nighters:
Buggs
Underground
Gav
NightFalcon
Fiddy
Anyone else for Fri night accommodation & dinner?

Sounds cool.
I have some cool pics somewhere of my old, very old, hi-ace van, fully loaded with a boat on the roof almost at the top of the first serious hill, a good way after the 4x4 only sign on the ski field road a few years ago. She nearly made it up, poor old thing, was only the ground clearance that stopped us
If I can find em I'll post em up...
Hope the weathers good for the views - sorry, just jinxed it!![]()
not many sleeps now lads![]()
